The Paris Agreement signed by global leaders in 2015 set a goal to limit the rise in the planet’s temperature to well below 2 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels by 2050. If that target is to be achieved, every organization in the world has a part to play. As a consulting firm, we can help. Climeworks uses renewable geothermal energy and waste heat to capture CO₂ directly from the air, concentrate it, and permanently sequester it underground in basaltic rock formations with Carbfix.

Charm Industrial has created a novel carbon removal pathway that converts biomass into bio-oil and then injects it deep underground for permanent geologic storage. In 2021, Charm removed 416 tons of CO₂ on behalf of the coalition of businesses which TKEG is a member of.

Most new technology is expensive at first. Early adopters such as THE KEITH & EVEN GROUP help promising new carbon removal technologies lower their costs and scale up quickly. Experience with manufacturing learning and experience curves has shown repeatedly that deployment and scale beget improvement, a phenomenon seen across DNA sequencing, hard drive capacity, and solar panels.
