Companies tend to shift their businesses online and have services done remotely. The technology of AI and the usage of big data have grown significantly in the incubator industry.

Additionally, the industry faces increased competition from new offerings such as corporate incubators and venture capital programs and a high level of liquidity in financial markets. Nevertheless, established incubators can still play an essential role in supporting investment decisions and acting as a bridge between startups, mainstream players, investors, and academia, making them valuable partners for industry representatives, venture capital funds, and government agencies.
